Alkaloid Isolation from Plant Sources.

Methanol, HCl, Ethyl ether, Trichloromethane
1) Cut plant parts (500-1000g) into small pieces. 2) Extract plant samples with Methanol. 3) Concentrate the extract and mix with water 4) Extract the sample with HCl 5) Extract the sample with Ethyl ether 6) Extract the sample with Trichloromethane 7) Concentrate and analyze the extracts.
